YMPA AGM, 21 November 2024

The Young Musicians' Parents' Association (YMPA) invites all parents and carers to their Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 6pm on Thursday 21st November at the North Inch Community Campus in the dining hall.

If you would like your interests as the parent or carer of a young musician represented then please come along or get in touch.

The YMPA is run by parents, carers and those with an interest in our aim of raising funds to financially assist the musical activities of the young musicians of Perth and Kinross. The YMPA aims particularly to widen access to the annual Music Camps by subsiding places, as well as supporting the purchase of musical instruments, music books and other resources.

We raise funds through selling programmes and shaking collection buckets at Central Group Concerts and providing refreshments for the Christmas Mulled Wine and Mince Pies Concert, and importantly we decide how to allocate the funds raised to best support our young musicians. We also aim to represent the views of parents and carers.

Currently, we are a very small group of volunteers and would gratefully welcome new supporters so we can do the very best for our young musicians and so that we can more fully represent your views as we face these challenging times of proposed cuts to the Instrumental Music Service.

We look forward to meeting you on the 21st if you can come along, or please get in touch.
